Feel the beat…

… Samba that is!   Stumbled across FaT Samba performing in Cowes and really enjoyed their performance.  As a former member I had become disillusioned with what I saw as Island samba overkill, but this band are great;  made me want to play again.  You can catch them performing again on the Thursday of Cowes Week.

End of the day

With a start at 11 and back by 3, it takes some endurance to compete in Cowes Week events and by Monday it seems the bulk of the competitors can be found downing pints by mid afternoon.  Women tend to be scantily clad and sporting acres of sunburnt flesh and blokes can be spotted wearing boring [...]
