Sad news has reached Wighteye that some mindless vandal has slashed the polytunnel at the Vectis Road Allotments in East Cowes, resulting in many hundreds of pounds damage.  All I can say to that individual (or group) is that if you have that much energy to scale the allotment fence and start slashing with a knife, how about clearing the brambles at the end of the allotments?  Alternatively, put your efforts to productive use and plant a few vegetables.  Must have spuds for brains!
